Tacoma police on Wednesday were investigating two drive-by shootings Tuesday night, including one on Interstate 5.
No injuries were reported in either incident.
The first occurred about 10:30 p.m. as the victims were driving south in the 7200 block of I-5.
A silver Intrepid pulled up and the occupants flashed gang signs, police said. Then someone in the Intrepid fired one round that hit the wheel of the other car.
Witnesses got a partial license plate of the Intrepid. Puyallup tribal police spotted the Intrepid at 72nd Street and Portland Avenue.
They stopped the vehicle and detained one person.
The second shooting occurred about 10:45 p.m. when someone in a small silver vehicle fired four shots at a home in the 8000 South D Street, police said.
One bullet went through the living room window. Three others hit the house.
