Police investigate another shooting in Sunnyside
SUNNYSIDE -- Police are investigating a second shooting in two days after a fight Tuesday afternoon led to gunfire.
Nobody was hit and officers found no bullets at the scene near Washington Court. Witnesses said that about 3:30 p.m., a fight broke out among several people passing a residence when a person on a bicycle fired several shots from a handgun toward the group fighting, police said in a news release Wednesday.
Detectives believe the shooting was gang-related, the release said.
On Monday night, Sunnyside police responded to a drive-by shooting near 13th Street and North Avenue that sent a 21-year-old Zillah man to a local hospital with an injury to his ankle. He was treated and released.
