A 44-year-old man was arrested Sunday night after he allegedly fired a shotgun outside his house.
At about 9 p.m., Seattle police responded to a 911 call of shots fired in the 3800 block of 46th Avenue South. The caller said her neighbor had walked outside his home and fired a shotgun, according to police.
When police arrived the man was back inside. But he walked out a short time later and was arrested. Police searched the home and recovered a .40-caliber handgun from inside a cabinet as well as a shotgun with six live rounds inside and a spent shell in the chamber. The handgun had been reported stolen, police said.
The man was booked into the King County Jail for investigation of unlawful possession of a firearm and investigation of violating the Uniform Firearms Act.
A police account of the incident doesn't provide a motive for the shooting.
