A Lynden man was arrested Friday, Aug. 15, after arguing with his girlfriend and allegedly shooting at her car with a 12-gauge shotgun on the 400 block of River Road. Whatcom County Sheriff's deputies arrested Cameron Flavin, 21, on suspicion of first-degree assault, felony harassment, second-degree malicious mischief and second-degree unlawful possession of a firearm.

He was booked into Whatcom County Jail, where he remained Saturday afternoon.

After allegedly shooting the car, Flavin then went around his property and shot at four other cars before going in to his house, Sgt. Kevin Mede said.

After a standoff with deputies, Flavin surrendered and was arrested, Mede said.
