LYNNWOOD -- Detectives believe a shooting that left one man injured Friday night was not a random act.
Deputies received a report of a man down on the ground in the 4100 block of 156th Street SW about 8 p.m., Snohomish County Sheriff's Lt. Jeff Brand said.
They discovered that a 20-year-old man had been shot, Brand said. The number of times the victim had been shot was not known.

EVERETT -- A man was shot in the hand after a dispute led to gunfire outside a downtown tavern early Wednesday morning in Everett.
Officers were called to the parking lot of the Soundview Tavern, 1116 Hewitt Ave., shortly after 2 a.m., Everett police Sgt. Robert Goetz said.
Witnesses reported hearing several shots fired. When police arrived they found that the apparent victim and others involved had driven away.

EVERETT -- Everett police continued to investigate a shooting Monday night that left a man in serious condition at a Seattle hospital.
The man was expected to live, Everett police Sgt. Robert Goetz said Tuesday. His identity was not released.
"It appears that he's going to survive," Goetz said.
The man was shot multiple times at a home in the 2200 block of Rockefeller Avenue, Goetz said.
The shooting was reported about 6:17 p.m.

Six bullets fired into a second-story window at Spokane City Hall over the weekend prompted the mayor to immediately enact new security measures already planned at the historic building.
The shots were fired into a second-story window where engineering services, city projects and public works administration employees spend their days. No one was working there over the weekend, officials said.

SNOHOMISH -- A man was flown to a Seattle hospital this morning after his brother found him with a single gunshot wound to the head.
Snohomish County sheriff's officials said there were no signs of foul play.
A gun and gun-cleaning rod were found near the man, 49, sheriff's spokeswoman Rebecca Hover said.
The man's brother called 911 around 9:15 a.m., she said. He had gone to check to see if everything was OK after not hearing from the man for a few days.

A 22-year-old man was seriously wounded Sunday night in a shooting on Tacoma's East Side, Tacoma police said Monday.
The man's wounds were considered serious but not life-threatening, police spokesman Mark Fulghum said.
The man was shot during a fight about 9:30 p.m. near a store at East 32nd Street and Portland Avenue.
After fighting one person, the man started to confront a second person, who pulled out a gun and shot the man, Fulghum said.

A 40-year-old Federal Way man died early Saturday after he was shot several times during an apparent domestic dispute.
Police were still investigating the shooting, but it appears to have been in self-defense, according to a news release.
The man's estranged 24-year-old wife called officers to the Mariposa Apartments at 28120 18th Ave. S. shortly before 4 a.m., saying she'd shot him, according to the news release.

The Grant County Sheriff's Office is investigating the slaying of a Warden man who was shot to death in his car.
The shooting may be drug related, Undersheriff John Turley said.
Sheriff's deputies found Juan Carlos Lopez Estrada, 34, in the driver's seat of a 1996 Dodge Stratus after someone called 911 at 6:30 a.m. Saturday to report that all the car's doors were open and a man inside was not moving, Turley said.

A youth showing off a handgun accidentally shot and wounded a 14-year-old boy Saturday morning on Tacoma's East Side, police said.
The victim, whose identity wasn't available, was taken to Mary Bridge Children's Hospital. His injuries did not appear to be life-threatening, said Tacoma police spokesman Mark Fulghum.
The shooting occurred in a home in the area of East 48th Street between East E and F streets, Fulghum said.
