Seven Youth Shot Outside of Detroit School

This afternoon there is more sad news out of Detroit -- seven young people shot as they waited for the bus after a summer school session. 
We had the privlege of meeting with Dr. Gregory Slutkin of CeaseFire Chicago this week.  His pioneering work to reduce gun violence in Chicago has saved countless lives.  This morning on the radio he said that more and more organizations trying to do good work in our communities -- through education, parenting programs, job growth, whatever program it may be -- are beginning to realize that their work is consistently hindered by the frequency and intensity of violence on our streets.
