Our Work Continues

In the aftermath of the Supreme Court’s historic decision on the 2nd Amendment, many people have been asking me, “What is the road ahead?” I’m sure many of you are asking the same question.

To all of our members, let me reassure you that our work at CeaseFire will continue our work as usual. We have always advocated for sensible policy solutions to gun violence – policies like strengthening our mental health records reporting and background check requirements – the same policies Justice Scalia listed as not to be interpreted in light of the Heller decision. No right is absolute, and we must continue to fight for the middle ground on this issue.

Gun violence is preventable and research, education and advocacy can help us to do more to save lives. The fight continues on . . .
